THE CREATOR
FIBRA research is a free textile design project founded by Adriana Fortunato and Caterina Fumagalli in 2019. It investigates the use of fine fibers and unused “Made in Italy” materials from high quality textile factories to produce art design unique pieces and limited-edition furniture components. Their artworks – an expression of women’s work as an element of memory of the textile tradition – are published in many prestigious magazines and included within the Arte and Laguna World and Through Objects digital platforms. In 2021, they win the Masseria Cultura artistic residency, during which they creats a site-specific artwork: a unique piece entirely handmade, realized deconstructing the traditional Italian women’s trousseau. Noloom collection also awards the MM Award 2021 first prize, the International Creative Award, in the product design category.
