THE CREATOR
Born in Milan in 1945, Franco Raggi graduates in Architecture at Milan Polytechnic
in 1969. As architect and designer, he produces architectures, interiors, products design, magazines, settings and catalogues. His On-Off lamp for Luceplan is part of the permanent collection at the MOMA of New York, while several works and drawings are collected in the FRAC Museum in Orleans, in the Center Pompidou in Paris and in the Triennale in Milan. As author and as designer, he takes part in many events and exhibitions. In 1973, he is the creator of the first critic exhibition of the Italian Radical Design avantgarde movement in the Berlin Internationale Design Zentrum. Among the others activities, editorial work is one of the main interests in his career, being contributor, editor or director in top design magazines such as Casabella and MODO. He held courses and seminars in universities and design schools both in Italy and abroad.
